WordPress has the feature of reblogging other peoples blogs. Many bloggers add that button at the bottom of their posts. I love that! Sometimes I will love someone’s post so much that I want to share it with my own thoughts on the matter and give them some more exposure since my list and readers may be different than theirs.
If you don’t have the reblog button on your posts do this….
Or you can write your own new post and talk about theirs and share their link which will pingback them. So you both are getting exposure from each other at the same time. Nifty huh?
In the recent past and lately I have been noticing this feature being abused somewhat if you want to look at it that way. Naturally by default this feature is turned on as you can see by my image up there. But some people know how to go in and find that and uncheck the one for reblog so no one can reblog them. Hey that’s fine… you do you man…
But I find it odd that a blogger would do that unless they don’t actually write their OWN content and all they do is reblog. Harvesting everyone else’s hard work for their own gain and reach and piling up their followers and links is all they ever do. That is exactly why all they do is reblog and reblog alone!!! You can’t fool me.
Lately I have reblogged a few people because I felt strongly about what they were writing about and I wrote out my own thoughts on the matter as well as part of the reblog. That’s a good thing to do and the right thing to do. I don’t want people thinking I am gaining anything from all their hard work. I simply want to share with my own thoughts and help them out with views.
You can think what you want it’s ok… I am just voicing my thoughts and what I notice.

I don’t think I ever said I don’t like it…. I tend to not reblog in general because there is that underlying fear of them not liking it.. but I figure if I comment and write about what I am thinking with it then I will take the chance. But I don’t remember saying I don’t like it. Also the only time I would look at others doing it and not liking it is if they are the rare exception of being a blog that ONLY reblogs others for content to fill their blog with and not saying anything just reblog after reblog and absolutely no written content of their actual OWN… see what I am saying?

Yes, I see. The same as you said last time. You mean blogs like ZZ Bottom’s or Kultivate, I guess. But i really like what they are doing, by spreading our content … for whatever reason.
And I’ve seen enough own selfmade content in both blogs to convince me they are also real bloggers.

I think it’s nice to reignite something you enjoyed reading or wanted to add thoughts to. I agree though there are folks that just reblog. I’ve had them before and they’ve got nothing to do with SL which is interesting in itself.
