Tips and Tricks – How to Use Keywords Alerts in Firestorm – Second Life – Magick Thoughts ❤ Second Life and Real Life

There is a function in Firestorm called Keywords Alert. You can use this in order to find certain words in local chat like your name. Have you been in a busy place and got distracted then had to find if anyone said your name so you can respond? That has happened to me so many times. Too many gestures and shit happening and then people getting mad that you ignored them….

Thats a bad deal… Being busy in real life for a few minutes will no longer get you in trouble. I will show you where in preferences…. You can also change the color of the text as well so you can spot it fast. Mine is pink… see?

So here is how you do it….. go to preferences….

See how simple that is? This is so useful to me and I was thinking about it the other day. There have been several times that I have been in a position where I had to scroll up indefinitely in local chat looking for my name being mentioned so I can respond or copy the chat to a notecard or something. I am all about keeping a papertrail of notecards. Sometimes people just deserve it or I need my own piece of knowledge ya know? Now you can do this too if you didn’t already know about it.

FYI: You can at any time plug in any keywords you are needing in order to get to something quickly. Go ahead and try it! Just seperate the words with a comma and space like I did.

If for some reason you cannot check those little boxes try a different FS skin. I have found that between the different skins the settings change and you have to reset some things. Notice I am using the Starlight skin.
